Welcome to our upgraded website. There are several new features here including a listing of the businesses and individuals who have helped us in the past. The Friends of Paul Holland Pool, NFP is a grassroots organization that was formed to build a new Outdoor Family Aquatic Center in the Oregon area to replace the old Oregon Swimming Pool that was closed a few years ago. FOPHP believes that a community swimming pool would enhance the lives of area residents in many ways; a center of community activity for people of all ages; a fun place for kids, a gathering place for teens, a place for adults to relax or exercise, a place where grandparents can take the grandkids, and a source of good summer jobs. Or maybe just a great place to cool off.
The City of Oregon has many great features including our State Parks and Blackhawk Statue, the Rock River, a fabulous Park District, great schools and athletic facilities, an ongoing artistic tradition, and a beautiful downtown. A well-designed Outdoor Aquatic Facility will enhance the image of Oregon as a great place to visit, live, work, and play.
